Rest Area

"Where flowers bloom so does HOPE." - Lady Bird Johnson

We pulled off the "Adoption Highway" this weekend and parked in a rest area.  We took some time off the road to smell the roses.  We marveled at the rainbow of colors painting the landscape.  We delighted in the sweet scents wafting through the air.

"Then God said, "Let the land produce vegetation: seed bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds."  Genesis 1:11

Everywhere we looked we were reminded of our Creator, His son, and the Holy Spirit.  How appropriate for this Easter weekend.

"For it by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this not from ourselves, it is the gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast.  For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do."  Ephesians 2:8-10

Today, we are back on the highway with a new bumper sticker...HOPE.  Hope in Christ.  Hope in the Gospel.  Hope in our purpose.  Hope for the orphan.
